What kind of writing do you undertake?

My writing activities focus on ‘business to business’ companies in the technology market. You can see examples of my work here. I’m also available to write other technology sales promotional material. Contact me for a no charge / no obligation chat about what you have in mind.

Why should we ask you to write for us?

My background in Engineering Consultancy enables me to take a very methodical approach to writing high quality, informative and persuasive material to highlight the benefits of your product or service. My style of writing will endeavour to communicate your sales message to your prospective Clients with crisp and compelling copy.

My proposal for your project will be fully detailed and include a fixed price quotation and schedule so you will know what to expect.

What information do you need to provide a quotation?

I would ask you to provide me with a project brief or project description so that I can gain an understanding of your requirements. In order to help you with this, I’ll email you a project brief pro-forma for you to fill in and return to me. If I have any further questions, I’ll email these to you or I will call you at a mutually convenient time.

How do you quote for a project?

Go to the contact page and upload a project brief or send me a message describing your project. I will assess your requirements and contact you if I need any further information before sending you a fixed price quotation for the work.

How long does it take to complete a project?

It’s hard to say how long a project will take to complete since it depends on the nature of the work and the complexity of the subject matter. In any case, I will provide you with a detailed breakdown of the work in the proposal.

I can appreciate that sometimes you will have projects that need to be ‘fast tracked’. When this occurs, please contact me anyway to discuss your requirements. I will then advise you if I can meet your deadline.

How do you handle comments and revisions?

I allow for two document revisions, to incorporate Client comments before the final issue, in all types of work undertaken. The only conditions are that comments are returned to me within 15 days of your receipt of each of the two issues and that the comments do not involve a change in direction, scope or format. I would also ask that where comments have been solicited from a number of people, that you consolidate all comments in a ‘Master’ comment copy before returning to me.

What if I’m not happy with the work?

I always aim to make sure you are satisfied with the work presented to you. If you are not happy with it for some reason, all I ask is that we work together to pinpoint the problem so that it can be resolved.

How will the completed work be delivered?

The final issue of the work will be delivered in PDF and native file format.

What are the fee agreement and payment terms?

My payment terms are fairly straight forward. I ask for 50% to be paid upon starting work, which is when the scope of work is agreed and authorised by you. The remaining 50% is then due on final completion.

The work will commence when a purchase order has been received.

All costs are in UK£ sterling and are payable in full within 30 days of invoice issue date directly into a UK bank.
